The hero, level and coins
Every realm has its own level, experience and currency; the hero has a name, a title, a second name, an epithet and a helmet that grows with the Asgard reputation.

The hero is your profile in the game. It is saved in the browser (Controls, display and saved data) and has a name (Auda by default, at most 16 characters). The screen "Your hero", which you open from the hero card on the home screen, shows it: the name, the title, the second name and the epithet are changed there, each in a window that the button of its row opens. The button "Edit" on that screen opens the window "Your hero · settings" with the grammatical gender (how the game addresses you: feminine, masculine or not specified, which is the default), the colours, the markers on the tiles and the avatar.
Level and experience
Every realm has a level and experience (XP) of its own, and all follow one curve: level n (from the second) begins at 25 × n² XP. Level 2 is at 100 XP, 5 at 625, 10 at 2,500, 20 at 10,000, 30 at 22,500 and 50 at 62,500; there is no cap. Only won games pay experience, and a level gives only prestige: no talent points, nothing is unlocked.
| Source in Kastgard | Experience |
|---|---|
| Principalities | the score of the win |
| Tribes | 0.75 times the score |
| Free play | the score of the win |
| Minigames | 15, 40 and 80 for one to three stars, times 0.6 to 1.5 by difficulty |
| Puzzle Labs | 15 to 120 for three stars by difficulty |
| Daily challenge | 1.5 times the score, the first win of the day only |
| Campaign and Iron Run | for every won mission |
In Rokgard a win pays 0.5 XP per move of the player times 0.5, 1 or 2 by the level of the AI (Colony, Lines).
Coins
- Kastgard: Golden Dice (a win in Principalities, Tribes and Free play pays the score, minigames and puzzles only for an improvement, the daily challenge 1.5 times), Stone Dice (the Campaign only: 1 per new star, 2 per boss, 5 × (1 + Threat) per finished run) and Iron Dice (the Iron Run).
- Rokgard: Golden tokens, one per XP earned.[1]
- Dice open boxes in the Collection: a Golden one costs 150 dice, a Stone one 7, an Iron one 3; each gives three faces with a number 1 to 6. A face is tier two with 5% and tier three with 0.5%. Three equal faces merge into a higher tier. It is only appearance and nothing is sold for real money.[2]
Asgard reputation, title and epithet
Reputation is the sum of the levels of the realms you play; the screen "Your hero" shows the parts as well. It pays nothing and unlocks nothing. The helmet on the hero's icon has 21 forms, one per 5 points. A title stands before the name. Until you choose another, it follows the helmet: by reputation it is Wanderer (from 0), Raider (5), Warrior of the hird (15), Champion (30), Jarl (50) and Hero of Asgard (80). You may choose any title you have reached and the ones an achievement granted (General, Commander, Conqueror); the row of the title is on the screen only when there is something to choose from. A second name stands right after the name and belongs to one realm: a long way of play grants it (Kastgard at level 40, Rokgard at level 20; "Champion Auda of Rokgard"). An epithet stands last and achievements grant it ("Champion Auda of Rokgard, Wind between realms", Achievements). Both are worn only after you choose them, and their rows appear once you have one. At most one title, second name and epithet are worn.
The avatar and the looks
The avatar is your die in the top right corner of the game screen (in Rokgard a token in the colour of the player). A click pokes it. The settings of the hero change whether it stands in the corner, whether it turns and how much it comments (off, brief, chatty, tips only); the token of Rokgard does not speak. The Gallery has 19 looks for Kastgard only (five sets of dice, six board themes and eight emblems); they unlock by completing the tiers of the die.
