Audamir

The first game

What the introduction of the game shows, what the home screen looks like and how the first game of Principalities goes.

The welcome card of the game, "Welcome to Audamir!", at the first start: a die, a short text, the button Show me how to play and the option Skip – I know how to play
A fresh profile sees a card that offers the introduction instead of the tiles; the option to skip it is under the button that starts it.

This page leads from opening the game to the first finished game. The rules themselves are on the page Principalities.

The introduction

At the first start the game offers "Welcome to Audamir!": six short steps, about three minutes. The guide is Auda, your die. The introduction can be skipped with the button "Skip – I know how to play", and the lessons are then in the footer under "How to play". The lessons are: Your first attack, The odds, After a win, Strongest first, Turn end and reinforcements, Your first game. In the lesson about the odds the first attack is lost on purpose, to show that a chance is not a certainty. The first real game has 19 tiles and a Weak opponent.[1]

The first lesson of the introduction, Your first attack: three tiles in a row, the selected tile with four dice, the chance of winning on the border with the enemy tile and, under the map, the status line with an attack of four dice on one
The first lesson of the introduction: the number on the border between the tiles and the status line at the bottom show the chance of winning an attack of four dice on one.
The second lesson of the introduction, The odds: three tiles in a row with three dice on each, the chance of winning of 45% on the border and, under the map, the status line with an attack of three dice on three
The second lesson of the introduction: three dice against three have a chance of only 45%, because on a tie the defender wins.

The home screen

At the top is the card of the hero (the name with a title, for example "Wanderer Auda"), under it the daily strip with the daily challenge and the Puzzle of the day, then the cards of the realms Kastgard and Rokgard and the tiles Achievements and Statistics. The footer has the links Leaderboard, Rules & scoring, How to play, Backup & restore, What's new and Report a bug or idea. Some tiles (Tribes, the Campaign and the Iron Run) do not show in a fresh profile: Tribes after the first finished game, the Campaign after two minigames with a star or five games.

The home screen of the game: the hero, the daily challenges and the cards of the realms Kastgard and Rokgard with their levels and rewards
Each realm has a card with its level and its coin; above them are the hero and the strip of the daily challenges.

Report a bug or idea opens a window: choose Bug or Idea and write a few lines. Under the text you see the technical details that are added to it: the version of the game, the browser, the size of the window, the game in progress and the last errors, never the name of the hero or the profile. The report can be copied and pasted wherever you want. In the game the window can also open it as an e-mail to feedback@audamir.io: the button "Send by e-mail" opens your own mail program with the message ready, you send it and the game sends nothing. The window can also be opened from the settings and from the window at the end of a game.

The first game of Principalities

  1. Open Kastgard and the tile Principalities (marked "Start here") and choose the number of players; four is the default.
  2. The game starts by dealing the tiles; a random player starts. Pick your tile with at least two dice and then a neighbouring enemy tile.
  3. Both sides roll all their dice and the higher sum wins; a tie goes to the defender. The chance that an attack wins is shown by the Hints (key H) or by the first touch on a touch screen.
  4. When you do not want to attack any more, end the turn (Space or Enter). You get reinforcements by the largest connected group of tiles.
  5. The game ends when one player has everything, or when, after four rounds without an attack, the end on points is agreed.
A game of Principalities in Kastgard under way: a map divided between the players, stacks of dice on the tiles and the state of an attack with its chance of winning
A stack of dice is the strength of a tile; the status line at the bottom says how likely the chosen attack is to win.

After the first game you can go on with the minigames (short tasks), Puzzle Labs (puzzles without chance) or the daily challenge: all of it is on the page Minigames, puzzles and the daily challenge. What is saved and how to move it to another device is described by the page Controls, display and saved data.
